I’ve been at my mom’s place for the past four days. Recharging my batteries so to speak 🙂 It’s always nice to come back home. I try to do it at least once a month. It’s quiet here and I can just lay about doing nothing, I love it. This time last year Estonia was experiencing some serious snowstorms, this year, however, we have rain and occasionally sleet. It’s quite depressing.
I promised to update you guys on my battle with Paypal. Lately my sales on Etsy went through the roof. People wire money to my Paypal account regularly and I found myself making more necklaces than ever. Then, out of the blue, Paypal limited my account and started demanding random proof of my home address and identity and they wanted my utilities bill etc. It was ridiculous.
Since my account was limited I couldn’t withdraw funds to my bank account which meant that I culdn’t actually ship out any of the orders since I didn’t actually have the payment. So, I emailed all my buyers asking them to start a dispute against my account so that they would get a refund. In addition, I changed my Etsy store policy. I now only accept Western Union, Skrill or money orders. So far it has worked out just fine. My buyers still want to get their necklaces and loads of people are considering buying as well. Thankfully it’s Christmas time 🙂
For the past year I’ve been obsessing over Olympia Le-Tan’s book clutches which sadly cost around 2000 €. A couple of days ago I randomly won a perfect box at a lucky draw. Now I just need to find a box hinge for it and I’m pretty much done. Pictures will follow soon.
Another project this weekend was making earrings for my little sister who’s going to sell them at the annual Christmas Market. Most of them aren’t particularly Christmassy 🙂 however, I did make these adorable snowmen. Love them, considering making a pair for myself as well.
As I was browsing on Etsy yesterday I came accross this magnificent pair of earrings. I’ve always loved Swans, they are such regal birds and these earrings are absolutely gorgeous. I’m thinking of ordering myself a pair once Christmas is over 🙂
Lastly, I wanted to show you this month’s manicure. I was going to go for a Christmas theme but the girl who does my nails didn’t have the right shade of red, so instead I asked her to go for a winter theme. Aren’t they gorgeous with the icy tips and snowflakes.
Hope you guys aren’t too busy with Christmas shopping and have managed to enjoy the festive time a bit. I’m planning on kicking back with some mulled wine and a good movie tonight.
XOXO – Ley
